Awesome garden centre, not the cheapest but excellent quality and a huge array of plants. Staff can be a bit of a nightmare to find if you don't know what you're looking for or where to find it. The missus loves it at Christmas when it's all dressed up and put up.
I hadn't been here till recently, and I should have come here years ago! It has a fantastic range of products, through its higgledy piggledy greenhouses. They have garden ornaments, lots of plants, a big selection of garden buildings such as sheds and log cabins. I know that may seem fairly standard for a garden centre, but I think you'll be surprised at the size. The size of it is deceptive form the road, and it is totally worth a trip!
Wow, amazing garden centre. Friends have been saying how wonderful Smith's is for some time, finally got there today....and it is. Massive selection of strong healthy plants, and a good variety of mature plants and trees. I'll be back. Now all I need is a bigger garden!
Very good customer service. Wide range of plants and even though you pay a bit more it is very important to support your local retailers. Smith's has good quality of plants unlikely than the big retailers.
We had a delicious lunch here last week with some of our residents from Chalfont Lodge Care Centre, and we had a selection of hot sandwiches, jacket potato etc.
The staff are friendly and attentive and made us very welcome during our visit.
They have a great selection of items to look at inside and outside.
It's a huge garden centre. Wonderful variety of plants and vegetation for your garden.
There is parking on-site for plenty of cars.
The Tree and Hedge company has a plot/office within the ground of the garden centre.
We actually visited to pick up a package from Cotton Traders located within the garden centres shop but decided to have a quick look around. There is a vast selection of plants, flowers, shrubs and trees at Smith's Garden centre and they seem to cater for any sized garden too. As we didn't buy anything, I haven't given 5 stars as I don't know what the prices are like. We would definitely visit again for something nice for the garden or even just something to do. It's well laid out. Some walk was are too small for wheelchair access bur it won't stop you seeing most of what they have to offer.
Superb garden centre. A quiet place to come and buy flowers, plants, bbq's, garden furniture, sheds and cabins or just a place to come and have a browse around and have a cup of tea with a bit of cake (I highly recommend the rhubarb cake - to die for!) and relax. They also have a Cotton Traders shop here which is very handy. All in all I have become a regular visitor and I highly recommend it.
A really lovely garden centre. With everything under one roof .. stunning plants shrubs flower pots and baskets. Pet care and petfood. Ornaments and fab gifts in abundance. A nice cafe too serving hot food and drinks. Also sells garden furniture but some are on the expensive side as are some plants and pots. Staff here are helpful and friendly. Will always visit here and would recommend to friends and family.
Staff are good. Theres plenty of choice.
I think the plants could be better labled, some plants have no lables some are labled with only common names some only Genus, no species or
Cultivar. Otherwise worh a visit.
Well what can I say about Callum and the customer service we have had,
We have had a lot of issues with garden furniture we purchased and I must say this has nothing to do with the garden centre,
I spoke to Callum and he sorted it out with the supplier and has resolved everything,
Excellent customer service and I have no problems in recommending this company, they really do care about there customers
You have a client for life with me and the family

Our local choice for the quick ddaash for a plant to fill a gap or a light meal. Broad range of plants kept in good condition while waiting for the right purchaser. Constantly being upgraded and developed so allways worth a wander round.
Was always big and now becoming huge. Not just garden supplies (which are increasingly hard to find), but clothes, furniture, fancy goods, fish, and a big coffee shop.Still a locally owned business, making a change from the big chain centres. Easy parking and friendly staff all the way up to owner/boss Norman.
This a privatisation owned garden centre with a wide range of outdoor and indoor plants and the things that go with them. They have an extensive range of pots, tools, plant foods and equipment together with garden furniture, barberry equipment, etc. and the usual range of gifts garden centres Regards as necessary these days.
The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and always a pleasure to meet.
Always great revisit this place. It's pricey but the staff are exceptionally great and always there to genuinely help you. Cafe is great and you can certainly fritter away hours here.
Well worth a visit even if you are just window shopping!
I've just discovered this place. Fabulous nursery with quality plants and wonderful plant advisers who are all so helpful and knowledgeable. I was equally impressed with the stylish gift shop which has a great variety of goods and furniture. I look forward to a return visit soon. Very impressed!!
Smiths is very local to me and one of the largest garden centres within a ten minute drive of my house and there are several to choose from. I can't say if it is the cheapest but there is plenty to look at including garden statues and some quirky garden ornaments. There is also a small restaurant on site which serves good food. Plenty of parking.
Single handily the best garden centre I've been to. Took up gardening as a hobby when me and the wife bought our first house locally to Smiths. First year wasted a fortune at Homebase then a was put onto Smiths by a mate who use to run it. It turns out the owner (tall guy who whistles - Jon Petitfer) likes to employ locals who all clearly enjoy working there. Probably the size of 3 footballs easy. Happily spend a fortune in there, support your local businesses.
Good selection of plants of all types, very many ornaments and a stupendous selection of garden sheds/furniture! The staff are friendly too. In the back of the main shop there is Bertram's, serving a good selection of food but I particularly enjoy their breakfast; inside, outside under cover or alfresco.
Other garden centres and D.I.Y stores offer similar types of products that are sometimes a little cheaper. Smiths has far superior quality goods that are only marginally more expensive and in some cases cheaper. The main difference is the goods from Smiths will outlast cheaper rivals many times over. Knowledge of staff is excellent too, you try asking a wet behind the ears 16 year old assistant in B&Q what the best plant for a pot in a shady area would be and they would most likely not have a clue.
